As we pondered our adventure, we wanted to assure that it aligned with our passion for do-gooding. In addition to finding many ways to travel as green as possible, we also wanted to bring awareness and raise funds for two organizations close to our hearts: Farm Sanctuary and Tranquil Space Foundation.
Kimberly fell in love with Farm Sanctuary when exposed to their great work during a 2007 Jivamukti teacher training. She promptly adopted a pig named J.D., visited the sanctuary in 2008 and 2010, and attended their Animal Care Conference in 2011. We’ve held fundraisers for them at the studio and been avid fans for nearly six years. During the tour we’ll spread the word about their efforts, share vegetarian traveling tips, visit their shelters, and donate a portion of proceeds to benefit the animals.

Join us for a special meet-up tea at Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, NY on the morning of Monday, September 23rd (specific time TBA). We’ll have a special tour by a Farm Sanctuary education staff member too. Stay tuned for more details, or RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We serve on the board of Tranquil Space Foundation and have been actively involved in its creation and ongoing growth. To date we’ve donated over $16,000 to like-minded charities and offered our Tranquil Teens program to over 600 girls with a small group of dedicated volunteers. During the tour we’ll sprinkle the message of yoga, leadership, and creativity and donate a portion of proceeds to benefit the mission.
